Boaters Are Startled By Frantic Seal, Then They See Pod Of Orcas Closing In Behind Him

The circle of life is an amazing thing. It’s a beautiful thing, in fact. The world keeps on turning because of it.

However, when you get up close and personal with it, it can get a little less pretty.

Animals out in the wild do what they have to do in order to survive. For carnivorous animals, that means making other animals their dinner. It’s not a hateful act, it is simply the way it works in order for the circle of life to work.

Sometimes, though, the animal being hunted can still come out on top. If the prey is quick enough, resourceful enough, and eager enough, he can make it out alive and live a long and happy life!

Out in the ocean, there are tons of cute animals that we all love. Beautiful fish, majestic sea turtles, orca whales, penguins, seals: they’re all wonderful creatures. But, they’ve all got to eat.

When the little seal in the video below sensed that he was in danger from a pod of hungry orca whales, also known as killer whales, he had to think quickly.

A group of men were out on the water on their boat, right near the chase. The seal splashes about at the rear of the boat, hoping to make a narrow escape from his predators.

I have to tell you, I was holding my breath throughout this whole thing, rooting my heart out for this adorable, terrified seal. Just look into his petrified little eyes!

Do you think he escapes his predators this time around?
