Drown Your Sorrows In This Baked Brie Recipe

We really just never get tired of cheese wrapped in carbs and baked until bubbly. Its like, the ideal food. Youve got your carbs, your dairy, your fruit/nutsits the perfect little food pyramid.

Since you obviously need some sort of cheese treat for your upcoming holiday party, we decided to revisit this favorite.

  • 1 small-medium wheel of brie
  • cup dried cranberries
  • cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry
  • 1 egg, beaten with about 1 tsp water
  • The aforementioned 1 tsp water

Cut the brie in half lengthwisecarefully. Open it up and sandwich the cranberries and walnuts in there, then close it up with the other half of brie. Press together to ensure all the shit is snug inside the cheese.

Roll out your thawed sheet of puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and place the brie in the center, pull up the edges and fold over the bridge, making it look totally cute. Once all the dough is pressed into place, brush all over with the egg/water mixture. Flip the brie over and brush the other side, too.

Place the brie on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and put it in the freezer for about an hour. This is v important cause itll keep the brie from being a gooey mess later.

Preheat the oven to 425, and put that whole baking sheet with the brie in the oven until its browned and leaking some cheeeeeeeeeseabout 20 mins.

Serve with crackers, spoons, and wine.
