Man Suffers Stroke 3 Weeks After Engagement, Then Bon Jovi Surprises Him With Massive Donation

When sudden health issues strike, we expect to lean onour friends and family to keep us strong. However, a Phoenix man recently found that same touching level of support from an unlikely source: Jon Bon Jovi.

Joe Dorosz spent the last 35 years rubbing shoulders with tons of famous musicians working as a drum technician for artists and bands like Bon Jovi, Fleetwood Mac and Lionel Richie, among others.

After reuniting with an old flame, his now-fianceDiane Scappaticci, Joe decided to undergo alaminectomy and spinal fusion to hopefully soothe thespinal stenosis he suffered for years. The surgery seemed to be a success until, just three weeks after the couples’ engagement, he was struck again with a serious health setback when he had a massive stroke. Now, he can’t even speak.

Diane has been by his side every step of the way while he has been tended to by multiple specialists, but when she noticed their funds being drained by expensive treatments, she createda GoFundMe page and asked friends and family for help withJoe’s medical bills.

As word spread, they were both stunned to see the names of his old work buddies, Stevie Nicks and Jon Bon Jovi, among those making generous donations. Then Jon went one step further by offering to match every other donation made on the site.

“It’s been huge, a huge salvation for us,” Diane tells Fox 10. “It blew me away. I was just awestruck.”
