The One New Years Resolution You Should Actually Make This Year

New Year’s resolutions are universally difficult to keep. Maybe that’s because plans to lose weight, to finally take that trip around the world or to stop spending so much money on shoes end up being a little ambitious at the end of the day.

In the latest episode of Truth Bomb Mom, Kristina Kuzmic has narrowed in on the one New Year’s resolution we are all capable of making, and more importantly keeping.

Kristina says, “Full disclosure: I am terrible at New Years resolutions. January 1st, its going great. Everythings great. By January 2nd, its all falling apart, completely.”

This realization led Kristina to make one pretty unique New Year’s resolution a few years back. “Four years ago right before New Years I decided that for the following year, every single night before I fell asleep I was going to take my phone, go to the notes section, and I was going to write down something good that happened that day,” she says.

“It had to be something very specific that happened that day that was good. Some days were easy, really easy, and then there were really hard days because I was up for a job that I really, really, really wanted, and I got rejected. And then the hardest day that year, I had a miscarriageas you can imagine I was devastated. I sat there and sat there and sat there [thinking about what to write for that day], and the only thing I could come up with was there was something about the way my husband tucked me into bed after bringing me home from the hospital. It was just so loving and comforting and so I wrote that down.”

“Im telling you right now, if you do this for 365 days, every single day, it will change your life,” Kristina says. “I’m doing it again this coming year, and I want you do it with me.”
